Interclean isn’t just a cleaning trade show – it’s a chance to share ideas with a range of professionals from many different walks of life. It’s the place where the latest innovations and newest technologies are born from spirited debate between people trying to find solutions to the biggest challenges the industry currently faces.

The sense of community at our Interclean shows is always immensely strong as a result of this shared philosophy. And it’s not just held by the visitors who stop by every year – it’s interwoven into the ideologies and values of the exhibitors who come to share their current projects and most recent developments with us. Their drive helps to keep propelling our industry forward, one advancement at a time.

To that end, we think it’s incredibly important to share the limelight with some of the exhibitors who are making our industry a better place. That’s why we’d like to pass the mic over to our next featured exhibitor – the hotel accessories and hygiene solutions manufacturer, JVD.

JVD – developing the technology of tomorrow, today

A huge player in the industry for many years, French manufacturer, JVD has a rich heritage of creating innovative solutions in the hotel and hygiene sector for over 30 years. Providing installations in over 80 countries all over the world, it offers a myriad of products to suit differing demands – including hotel room accessories, housekeeping products, electronic locks and washroom hygiene systems.

With a consistent focus on developing new technology, techniques and materials that further enhance its offering to customers, JVD is always on the hunt for new ways to help improve productivity and increase its sustainability efforts.

Manufacturing innovation

One way that JVD is seeking to improve productivity and increase sustainability is through constant innovation of its products and services. As innovation is such a huge focus of our Interclean trade shows, it’s essential to partner with those who share our ideology of constant development – and JVD more than matches this. Through research, development and design (as well as rigorous quality control), it has sought to advance its offering and – by manufacturing all its products in its factory in Rezé, France – it has even greater control of each and every aspect of its product lines.

Speaking on the subject of its commitment to innovation, Charles Dewatre, [Sales manager South Europe, Middle East , Africa], said: “We are [always looking] to bring innovative solutions to our customers with an adapted, efficient and personal service. Our aim is to establish a long-running partnership with our customers, considering them as all unique and with different needs which have to be answered promptly and efficiently.”

Speaking out for sustainability

Innovation can have many faces – it’s about making more efficient solutions to the daily struggles your clients face and driving the latest technologies to the forefront. Most importantly, however, it’s about increasing product sustainability. With companies becoming more aware of their impact on the environment, it’s all the more imperative to find solutions that are eco-friendlier – and that’s exactly why JVD launched its own sustainability initiative.

Through its own research, and working with the latest technologies, it discovered that hand dryers made with Jet Air systems consume less energy, and therefore reduce CO2 emissions and consumables. In order to make these types of products more attractive to clients as an alternative to standard warm hand dryers and paper towel systems, JVD launched the ‘one hand dryer = one tree’ initiative. For every hand dryer in the Air range that’s purchased, JVD will plant one tree in Indonesia – one of the areas most affected by rapid deforestation.

Charles Dewatre said: “Hand dryers are the best alternative to paper dispensers but [are] also an ideal solution to reduce the ecological footprint. While a ton of paper requires 17 trees, its manufacture and transport also generate CO2. Our Made in France hand dryers with Jet Air consume very little energy. CO2 emissions are therefore reduced and don’t use any consumables. In the continuity of its willingness to protect our environment, JVD [has] partnered with Planète Urgence in a reforestation project in Indonesia.”

It’s this commitment to increasing sustainability, one tree at a time, that makes JVD one of the industry’s favourites in the hotel accessories and washroom hygiene systems sector.

We can’t wait to see what JVD brings to our Interclean Istanbul show in a few weeks’ time.
